Abused Adolescents Are Embedding Objects

CHICAGO — Radiologists have reported multiple cases of self-mutilation by adolescents involving the deliberate embedding of foreign objects such as paperclips, staples, and pieces of glass into soft tissues of the arms, hands, feet, and ankles.
